VOICE SERVER AND CHANNELS
The current official voice server for Estonian VACC is voice2.vacc-sag.org. Voice channels must be used as follows:
EETN_TWR - eetn_twr
EETN_APP - eetn_app
EETT_CTR - eett_ctr
etc...
Using the same voice servers and channels allows other ATCs to easily monitor other frequencies when needed.

VOICE ATIS
Voice ATIS was introduced with VRC version 1.2 and Estonian VACC strongly recommends our ATCs to use this feature. ATC has to record the message and therefore it is acceptable for the new voice ATIS to appear slightly later than the text one if traffic does not leave enough time for the recording.
Voice ATIS server: voice2.vacc-sag.org
Voice ATIS frequency: 124.870 (real frequency is 124.875 but it had to be changed due to technical reasons)
The official voice ATIS template for Tallinn which has to be copied to the Voice ATIS Template box in VRC ATISMaker:
This is Tallinn Airport information %id% %time%. ILS approach expected.
%runways% Braking action good. Transition level XX. Wind %wind%.
Visibility %vis% Cloud %clouds% %precip% Temperature %temp% Dewpoint %dew% QNH %alt% %id%
Notes on reading the ATIS using the template above:
- VRC will fill in the time in format DDHHMMz. You will only have to read the time so it should sound "one four five zero".
- VRC will put Landing runway xx to the text. Replace it with "Runway xx in use." in your recording.
- Visibility has to be said in kilometers and in case of 9999, you have to say "Visibility one zero kilometers or more."
- In case of CAVOK, skip the words Visibility and Cloud. Just use "CAVOKay" between Wind and Temperature.
- QNH has to be said in format "one zero one three".
CONTROLLER INFORMATION (previously called ATIS)
When voice ATIS is used, the following information has to be included in your controller information:
Tallinn Tower ($callsign)
Consult ATIS on frequency 124.870
If you are not using voice ATIS then here is the standard ATIS template based on the real world Tallinn ATIS which must be used by all Air Traffic Controllers.
Tallinn Tower ($callsign)
Tallinn Airport info %id% %time%. ILS APP expected.
%runways% BA good. Transition level XX. Wind %wind%.
Vis %vis% %precip% Cloud %clouds% Temp %temp% Dewpoint %dew% QNH %alt%.
Copy the ATIS template to the ATIS Maker ATIS Template box. You have to change the station name (Tallinn Tower in this case) to the station you are manning and replace the two X's after transition level with the appropriate TL found from the table above. Select a letter in ATIS Maker and enable the Auto function. The ATIS will now be updated automatically and the only things that you have to change manually when necessary are: a) select runway in use; b) change braking action (BA); c) change transition level when QNH changes.
Note: To keep the ATIS shorter in length, please select only the Landing runway in ATIS Maker. The additional features Visual approaches in use and LAHSOs in effect are not used in Tallinn. Open until XX.XX UTC may be added after your callsign to the first line.
Important! If you are not the only controller online in Tallinn, it is required to syncronize your ATIS identification letter with other ATCs. It means that the ATC who comes online first, selects the ID letter and shares it with the other controllers. Once ATIS is turned to Auto mode, the letters will change automatically for every ATC and no further action is necessary.
