ATC REGULATIONS

  1. If the traffic amount is high and the ATC cannot handle the situation, another ATC with at least 150 hours may take over the controlling in order to keep the good reputation and service quality of Estonian VACC.
  2. The ATC who has booked a position, has the exclusive right for the booked time slot unless an official event is being held at the same time. Replacing of the booked ATC may take place only with a permission from the booking owner or  the Estonian VACC management (members listed under the Staff page).
  3. The Estonian VACC management reserves the right to temporarily suspend an ATC if he/she has infringed the Estonian VACC regulations, violated aviation rules or acted unethically.
  4. If a pilot does not have enough knowledge to successfully complete a flight and intereferes with other traffic, the ATC has the right to ask the pilot to leave or wait for the traffic to get less dense.
  5. The following experience requirements apply for the ATCs during official events:
    EETN_TWR – min. 50 h
    EETN_APP – min. 150 h
    EETT_CTR – min. 200 h
Other positions can be controlled by any ATC.
  6. During an official event the event co-ordinator and the Estonian VACC management reserve the right to change controller positions if necessary.
  7. During an official event an ATC with less than 50 hours can control only under the supervision of another ATC who has more than 150 hours logged. The supervisor can be online either as an Observer or another ATC provided that the extra task does not lower his/her service quality.
  8. The behaviour of our ATCs has to be polite, ethical and hospitable in every situation and invite the pilots to visit us again.

Note: Observer hours are not counted as ATC hours.
