VACC Estonia is glad to welcome our new ATC training director Daniel Edvardsson from Sweden who is dedicated to aviation and has very thorough knowledge of it. He is working round the clock to create training program for our new members and everyone interested in becoming an ATC within VACC Estonia should get in contact with him to arrange the training. There is a good reason to wish Congratulations to VACC Estonia. That's because we just won the Iron Mic' Award! Big thanks to all our controllers and Ivar Reidla was one of the extreme ATCs who kept the CTR open twice even during night shifts.

VATSIM is proud to announce the release of VRC version 1.2 by Ross Carlson. There are numerous new features including voice atis message on its own frequency, VHF simulation option for headset and speakers, aircraft information look-up, scratchpad presets and much more! VRC can be downloaded here.

Estonian VACC has set up the regulations for using voice ATIS on the Tallinn positions and all ATCs are urged to use it while they are online.

Helsinki-Vantaa Real Ops Event is going to take place this Saturday (May 5, 2007) between 09-23 UTC and you can expect EFHK to be fully staffed during these hours. We are glad to report that we are trying to keep Tallinn Control (EETT_CTR) open the whole day as well and we will be assisting Helsinki with the flights going through our airspace. Flights to/from Tallinn EETN or any other Estonian airports are also most welcome!
